ASEAN Football recently reported on French-Vietnamese defender Adou Minh, emphasizing that the player currently wearing the CAHN jersey has completed all legal procedures to become a Vietnamese citizen. The Southeast Asian football media outlet specifically highlights Adou Minh's background, as he was born in Grenoble, France, with a Vietnamese mother and a French father.
According to ASEAN Football, Adou Minh was born on September 9, 1997, and developed through the youth system of Grenoble. The defender subsequently played for Grenoble, Annecy, and Racing Besançon between 2015 and 2024. His move to Vietnam in August 2024 is seen as a turning point in the career of the player of French-Vietnamese heritage, before he joined CAHN on July 25, 2025.
Notably, ASEAN Football not only announced Adou Minh's Vietnamese citizenship but also provided a fairly comprehensive update on the defender's playing journey in Vietnam. According to the regional media outlet, Adou Minh currently plays for CAHN and is entering a new chapter in his career. CAHN also confirmed the above information after the team secured a spot in the AFC Champions League Elite group stage. The capital club wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS TO NGUYEN ADOU LEGLEY MINH. Right after the historic ticket to the AFC Champions League Elite group stage, Hanoi Police Club continues to receive another meaningful piece of news for the journey ahead: Defender Nguyen Adou Legley Minh has officially completed legal procedures and obtained Vietnamese citizenship.”
According to CAHN, Adou Minh becoming a domestic player will give the team additional personnel options for the 2026/27 season. The club emphasized: “The presence of Adou Minh as a domestic player will add strength and squad depth to coach Alexandre Polking’s team in the upcoming 2026/2027 season.”
Last season, Adou Minh made 24 appearances in all competitions, playing 1,692 minutes, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. ASEAN Football also reported that the 29-year-old defender is currently valued at around 200,000 Euros by Transfermarkt.
